Following core values and an acclaimed curricula designed to engage students using their own interests and innate curiosity. Needham Montessori carries on this tradition of excellence, and fosters a love of learning in our students from preschool through the third grade.

The Benefits of Multi-Aged Classrooms

As an independent Montessori school, our students take advantage of multi-age classrooms. Research has shown that children as young as 4 years old are able to learn, connect, and collaborate with peers of different ages. Our teachers create stimulating lesson plans that incorporate concepts for various levels. This gives students the opportunity to learn at their own pace – from children who need extra time to improve understanding or seek out new challenges above their level. This type of facilitation supports academic development as well as personal growth. In addition, students learn from each other and work with one another for a strong foundation of communication and social skills.
