Janet Apau, Preschool Lead Teacher

Janet hails from Ghana and received her degree from the University of Cape Coast. She earned her Montessori certificate of Early Childhood and Toddler Education from Northeast Montessori Institute.

Jungrim (Rim) Yea, Preschool Lead Teacher

Miss Rim has an EEC certified teacher and will get AMS Early Childhood teacher training this year, at NEMTEC (New England Montessori Teacher Education Center). She has a Master of Fine Arts degree in drawing and painting from Louisiana State University and a BS in Dairy Science from Konkuk University in Seoul, South Korea. Miss Rim has 5 years’ experience at primary Montessori school (2.9 to 6 years old) as an assistant teacher. She has been teaching Arts for 3 to 18 years old for 10 years at Montessori school, South Shore YMCA, and her art studio.

As her son was in Montessori School from kindergarten to 3rd grade, she is interested in the theory and scientific approaching method of Montessori in child education. Miss Rim likes to explore new materials with children and loves to learn and grow with children in a healthy environment. She lives with her husband and son in Weymouth and in her free time enjoys working out, painting, sewing, and traveling.

Elise Richter, Preschool Lead Teacher

Elise Richter is joining Needham Montessori with 20 years of child care experience. She lives in Needham and has a son, named Dylan, who will be 3 years old in September. She attended Event Management classes at Johnson & Wales University before receiving her Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Ida College in Early Childhood Development.

She has worked alongside children, of all ages, as an Infant/Toddler Teacher, a Preschool/PreKindergarten Teacher and most recently, a Kindergarten and After School Lead Teacher, for the past 13 years. She has her Early Childhood (PreK-2nd grade) Teaching License. She has her Lead Teacher Certificate from the Department of Early Education and Care and is currently in the process of obtaining her Director I Certification as well as her Montessori Teaching certification.

She is a dedicated, thoughtful and compassionate teacher. She treats each child as an individual and encourages creativity. She has a wealth of knowledge from a more traditional school setting, and true enthusiasm to gain a more in-depth understanding of the Montessori Method. She hopes to have the opportunity to begin her formal training this June! In her free time, she enjoys learning new skills. She has tried pottery, glassblowing, yoga, and watercolor painting and she loves to travel, too!

 

Ellen Rodman, Preschool Teacher

Miss Ellen has experience working in other preschools for the past five years. Her background is in education, as she was an elementary school teacher in the Needham Public Schools system for 35 years. She has taught kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third grade. After retiring, Miss Ellen stayed at the same school as a Special Education Aide for the next few years.

She was not ready to give up teaching completely, and that’s when Miss Ellen decided to try another adventure in preschool, which she found fascinating and fun! Miss Ellen is looking forward to working with the talented staff and awesome children at Needham Montessori School and she is excited to embrace the Montessori method!

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  
 

Jenna Rendini, Preschool Teacher

Miss Jenna lives in Stoughton with her family. She attended Main College of Art and graduated from Massasoit Community College with a Graphic Design Associate of Science degree. She graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Visual Arts, Bachelor of Art degree with an education concentration. She is currently attending Massasoit Community College to obtain her Lead Teacher Certificate from the Department of Early Education. She hopes to begin formal training this year in the Montessori Method of Teaching for Montessori Certification.

Miss Jenna enjoys arts and crafts, ceramics, and painting. She uses her love of art in its many forms in her teaching with the young children. Jenna’s hobbies are hiking, cooking, and knitting.
