Preschool Staff

Janet Apau, Preschool Lead Teacher

Janet hails from Ghana and received her degree from the University of Cape Coast. She earned her Montessori certificate of Early Childhood and Toddler Education from Northeast Montessori Institute.

Janet enjoys singing and meditation in her free time. Parents are always welcome to come visit their children at any time of the day that their children are in Needham Montessori School and if they do visit they may be witness to one of her hobbies.

Paula Grubenskas, Preschool Teacher

Miss Paula has a Bachelor of Science in Education and Masters in Education-Learning Disabilities.  Miss Paula plans to continue Early Education classes as well as finish her Microsoft Office classes.  In Junior High, under the guidance of one of her teachers, she learned to excel in all her classes instead of just sliding by with passing grades.  That’s when she decided to pursue a career in education so that one day she would be able to do the same for other children.

In her spare time, she loves stamp collecting, traveling and is always open to learning new things.  Once she even took a class to build her own computer. She purchased the parts and a computer tech taught her how to install them. Once the computer was complete, she was able to use that computer for many years.

Xiaojun (Dido) Wang, Intern Preschool Teacher

Xiaojun(Dido) was born and raised in China. After receiving her BA in applied psychology in China, she came to Boston and completed her M.Ed in TESOL at Boston University. After her daughter’s birth, she discovered Montessori education as she researched different teaching methods. Inspired and motivated by Maria Montessori’s vision, Dido pursued a new career pathway and just completed her AMS Early Childhood training this past summer at NEMTEC (New England Montessori Teacher Education Center). She is interning this school year.

She believes each child embodies a unique and wonderful spirit. The Montessori philosophy of following the child in a prepared environment works wonders to create independent, responsible, and compassionate innovators. In her spare time, Dido loves to read, dance, and spend time with her family.
